Promoting a good cause...

Okay, so I don't normally do these types of things, but I've had a couple of requests. And you know I can't say no to beautiful women. Well, I assume they're beautiful. Email can be tricky sometimes. But one thing is for certain... the videos they are pimping have beautiful women in them, so there's that. On with the promoting.

The New York Jets Flight Crew are having auditions this April 1, 2, 3. But to jump right to the finals, and avoid any preliminary tryouts, just send them a video of no longer than 60 seconds. Introduce yourself, and bust a move. Do the kids still say that? Anyways, here's Waxaholic favourite Jessica to show us how.

once again, send those videos to flightcrew@newyorkjets.com

If you're a sothern gal, you'll maybe want to try out for the Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders. Better hurry though, tryouts are in person and are coming fast. March 20, 2011.

for more info, go to www.atlantafalcons.com/cheerleaders/auditions/

Coincidently ladies, those videos can also be sent to me as an audition to be my next ex-wife. Just sayin'.

And that's it for me folks. I'll be out of the city for a week for work. Not much if any internet time. If I miss anything good, leave a comment and I'll get to it when i get back.

Just in case you haven't seen it yet...

I've seen it a million times already, and it still gives me chills. In front of 76,000 people, Wayne Rooney proves why he's still the best. (you'll want to click it up to 720p HD)

EDIT: okay, I've tried 5 different videos now, Youtube keeps taking them down faster than I can put them up. This goal highlight must be loaded with government secrets or something. I'll try again later...

Suck on that City!

You think you're fancy...

with your Peyton Mannings and your Tony Romos and your Black Eyed Peas half time shows. Well, for the second straight year, the Grey Cup has had a better half time show than the Super Bowl.
111 million people watched the 2010 Super Bowl. 11 thousand people watched the Grey Cup. But they missed a helluva halftime show.

We may do things smaller and simpler, but they still rock, even at 70+ years old....

oh, I kinda have to apologize for the 'Pepsi Max Dancers' that appear at around the 6:25 mark.... youhave to remember that the city of Edmonton doesn't have that many good looking women.... kinda like why Green Bay doesn't have cheerleaders. That, and it's -30 out.

For my good friends, the Cubs fan.

not sure if you've seen this, but it's worth it.

I love the part about Soriano. Brilliant.

One of those days....

you ever have one of those days? You know you have.... I'm having one right now. As some of may have noticed, I haven't been around for awhile, other than to leave a snarky comment or two on some of your wonderful blogs.
But I knew that going in, so I scheduled a half dozen posts for blogger to publish throughout the week. I just now noticed that not only did they NOT publish, but blogger has decided to send them god knows where and I can't find a trace of them.
Check your inboxes people. You may have some unpublished work of mine. No hanging on to them until after my passing either. They ain't gonna be worth squat.

So....... I'll leave you with this. It made me laugh, I hope you find it funny too.
(Warning: horrible, horrible music accompanies video)

No Ball? No Problem.

Just what the title says... Germany's Mesut Ozil shows us how.

Trekkies 1 Star Wars 0

for those of you that watched this, a few days ago... I give you the Star Trek response.

Let this be a lesson to all...

you better save it next time.... or else....

after hitting him over the head, he smacks the post again and skates away. Doesn't even check to see if he's okay.

oops

Okay, so sometimes real life says "You don't have time to sort two boxes of cards and post a box break about them. You need to shovel 18 inches of snow for most of the day."
Mother Nature 1
Canuck 0

so the box break will be posted tomorrow*

Until then, i leave you with this. The dumbest football player of all time. Period.
It's not just because of the fumble. It's because who the hell taught the youth of today to celebrate doing your job when you're down 35-10??? Look at the scoreboard you idiot.

Minor league managers

Excuse my lack of posting over the last couple of days. Due to the big holiday tomorrow, I've been getting a lot of work done so I can relax. Yeah right, if you call cooking for the in-laws relaxing.
That, and my scanner and I have come to an understanding. It don't work, and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm sure some of you understand.

So I bring you this, from the Rome Braves, manager Randy Ingle gets into it with the homeplate umpire. To set the scene, in the top of the 10th inning, Rome hits a homerun to take the lead. Everyone on both sides saw it. No problem. Except the homeplate umpire, as the runner was rounding first, calls it a foul ball.

Randy did a pretty good job. I like him helping the ump by moving 3rd base a little.
But let's face it. Randy is in single "A". Let's let Phillip Wellman, manager of the Braves "AA" team show Randy how it's really done.

For me, the crawling through the rice paddy and lobbing the grenade is an All Time Classic.

he's back...

Josh Womack,of the Long Beach Armada, took time out while in Edmonton to show us a few more tricks.
I wish I could find video of him doing this in a game. Maybe I'll have to go the next time he's in Calgary to play the Vipers.

new left fielder

I would sign this guy to play left field for the Braves just to watch him in the batters box... he can't be worse than Garret Anderson, and would be far more entertaining...

Baseball Card Movie

This was posted on CNNSI's website today. They called it "an interesting, and sad, look at what the baseball card industry is today"

I liked it just because of the hilariously funny accents.

Hilarious...

Check this guy out... if you've ever watched a Braves game, you'll appreciate what he does. These are bang on from what my memory allows.
The Justice, McGriff, and Klesko are my personal faves...

look for him on youtube... he has a vid for almost every team. How accurate is yours?
