Mr Smith goes to...... Dallas!

 As most of you know, the 2011 NFL draft began last night with the 1st round in primetime.

A few surprises took place, but with the Cowboys, they did nothing stupid. They didn't trade up or down, just stood pat and drafted the best and meanest Offensive Lineman in the draft. Meet Tyron Smith from USC.

Tyron is a wee undersized for the Cowboys line at 6'6" and 315 pounds. But I'm sure the training staff will have another 20 lbs of muscle on him by Week One.

Mr Smith, meet Mr Romo. He is the reason you exist.

 Mr Smith, no one... no one, may touch Mr Romo. Got it?

 Good boy... now the buffet...

One card kindness....

I was at this month's trade night at the old card shop the other night. And while these nights are always dominated with hockey, there are 2 or 3 of us that dabble in the lesser sports. While I was at one end of the store, apparently there was some busting going on at the other end. Well wouldn't you know that my friend Jamie walks over and hands me this beauty...

awhile back I put up my first and only pack break of this year's new Ginter offering. Finding nothing I wanted, I offered it up for the masses. Tunguska from Long Fly Ball To Because jumped at a couple of the cards, offering a JHey RC. Sold! Here's the Rookie of the Year, Most Valuble Player, Comeback Player of the Year, and the newest Hall of Famer....
Tunguska also threw in Jason's TDIH card. On the back it says "Jason Heyward born on August 9th.... and the World rejoiced"

Apparently we don't swap enough, because he'd been saving this card for me since last year.

but it's not just a Tony Romo Mayo card....... it's HUGE!

Thanks to Matt Ryan, we see the true size of Tony. Not coincidently, this is representitive of how the Falcons feel every time they play the Cowboys.......

A question about today's Card O' The Day

Today's Card O' The Day (read: I'm too lazy to do a real post) is an Uncirculated 2008 Topps Chrome Gold Refractor numbered to 199 of Tony Romo.
I picked up shiny Tony here for $1.99. Now if you've ever tried to buy a Tony Romo card, let alone a refractor, you know this is a good deal. Yay me.

My question is this; Where did this card come from? Topps not including all the cards in packs? A redemption?

I'm a wee lazy to go researching this right now... maybe I will if no one knows the answer.
