I need '89 Topps! and other things.....

Yes... the phrase you never thought you'd ever hear from a card blogger... I need '89 Topps baseball. And some other years as well.
So if you have this card....
or any of his friends that I need.... please dig through your closets, under your bed, the bottom of the recycle bin, and save them for me.
I finally got off my butt and finished my Topps Braves want list. Well, from 1952 through 1991 anyways.... '92 until now is going to be a bitch.
So if you have Topps baseball cards from 1952 to 1991, and wish to help, please go HERE to checkout my wantlist.
I thank you.

for the sketch cards, I'm looking for any Braves sketches, or a couple of National Prides that I don't have...

let the frenzy begin... card #'s in RED are traded...

O-Pee-Chee Goodness

Thanks to five trades with fellow bloggers... I am a heckuva lot closer to the end of the 2009 OPC baseball set than I used to be. It's not just the base, or the DP's... oh no... it's the inserts as well. Yep. Going after a mini master set, I am.
I'll be posting my wantlist here, in a few minutes, but first hear my plea.

I need help tracking down these inserts. Especially the retro blue bordered ones. If you have any OPC baseball, and are not collecting the set, please check out my list and help me out if you can.

To Marie(a cardboard problem), Jim (gcrl), David (Long Fly Ball to Because), Jeremy(the Hockey card Blog) ... your cards are in the mail. And I thank you.
To Ed from Roll out the Barrel, yours will be leaving soon.(I hope)

What are waiting for? Go here.....

so close I can smell it...

Two cards. that's all I need to complete last years' A&G set before this years comes out. I still have a few left to trade that I haven't given away to others trying to complete this thing.
Does anybody have #312 and #313?

EDIT: darkship comes through.... Thank you Todd!

Anybody have old wantlists still?

I guess it's spring cleaning time (even though there is still snowbanks 4 feet high on either side of my driveway)
Somebody from down the street knew I collected cards (how, I do not know) and dropped off four monster boxes of cards on my doorstep. 20,000 cards. About 45 lbs of them.
They are in pack fresh condition, having not been touched in about 17 years. So if you are still trying to finish off any of the following, lmk and I'll root around the boxes for you.

Baseball;
Topps - 1989,1990,1991
Donruss - 1988,1989,1990,1992
Score - 1991
Upper Deck - 1990,1991

Hockey;
1990/91 ProSet, Score, Bowman, OPC, Topps, and OHL
Upperdeck - 1990/91 and 1991/92
Parkhurst 1991/92

OPC - 1978/79 and 79/80
OPC 1982/83

Basketball
1991 Hoops and Skybox

Yeah, I know... a lot of stuff that should be sold by the pound to a recycling depot. Anyways, I can help out those still in need.

I did it again.....

I've been working on my wantlists, desperately trying to get some trades going and finish off some sets before the 2009 stuff hits.
Well, the trades haven't been forthcoming, and it looks like I've committed to another set. I love these cards.
So now I'm working on Series One, when Series Two hits in mere days.
Perfect. Why do I always do this? Derek Roy - Buffalo (Flying through mid air... nice effort.)
Brad Richards - Dallas
Drew Stafford - Buffalo
Anze Kopitar - Los Angeles ( pronounced like it's spelled, a great player on a crap team)

Niklas Kronwall - Detroit
Peter Budaj - Colorado (pronounced Boo-DIE)
Ryan Smith - Colorado
Henrik Sedin- Vancouver (no, you haven't been drinking too much... you're not seeing double, that's his twin brother Daniel beside him)
Mike Smith - Tampa Bay (All Rookie Team last season, also the rare, sideways printed version)
Tomas Vokoun - Florida ( this is one heckuva goalie pack!)
Zybnek Michalek - Phoenix (pronounced .... oh hell, I don't know...)
Joffrey Lupul - Philadelphia
Jean-Sebastien Giguere - Los Angeles Ducks of Anaheim (just seeing if you're paying attention)
Look at his eyes following that puck! Awesome.
Simon Gagne - Philadelphia
Guillaume Latendresse - Montreal ( finally! a Canadien)
Henrik Lundqvist Masked Men
Wow. A great pack. Not a lot of stars, but a lot of goalies, and superb photography. this was half of one of those FatRackBlister thingies that I busted first here... I've bought three of those so far and no doubles or damaged cards........yet. I love 'em...
A trade/want list will be up soon...

2003 Topps Heritage Baseball

I Love this set. Capital "L". I dunno why... maybe it's cuz' I love the '54's so much, but can't afford them.
And of course there's this...
Roach Short Print Rookie!!!!!! AwwwYeaahh!
Anyways... the reason for this post is I need help finishing this set. So if you have any minty pack fresh doubles you are desperate to get rid of, or you're trying to finish the set yourself and wanna swap, drop me a line.
Thanks in advance!

New Year's organization begins...

Part of my New Year's organizational plan is to actually figure out what cards I'm missing to all these sets I have laying around. (I am a set builder after all....)
So for those of you interested in trading/helping... I'll be updating my wantlist page over the next couple of days... and posting some nice mail day packages as well.

Does anyone besides me collect hockey?????????????
I need help with this set. 2008/09 Upper Deck McDonalds Hockey. The collation is HORRIBLE.

Organization... step 1

As a lot of you know... I tend to whine a lot about my lack of organization. I think it's because I get distracted by shiny things. (damn refractors)
As I sort and catalog my cards, for the umpteenth time, I decided to update my wantlists as well.
This also will entail an update of my online wantlist section. Just click on the link to the right, and it will take you to an all new page, with sortable headers on the side.

A big thanks to all who look, and send, cards I need to complete my sets. I am rather compulsive about that. It's one of the best parts of blogging, being able to trade with others.... the only thing that feels better than completing a set, is being able to help someone else.

For those that are interested... I'll be updating the wantlist section all weekend...
(with three feet of snow on the ground, and -37 with wind chill, what else am I going to do?)
