Guess who got a bunch of Chippers in the mail? Me! Mark from Stats on the Back sent over around 30 Chipper cards.
Quite a few of which I didn't already have. Hard to believe, but I guess with Chipper having 1,093,848,329,041,993,256 cards of him made just in 1999, I suppose anything is possible.

Mark also was kind enough to take a slow, romantic walk through my Wantlists, and send over five cards that have eluded me until now.

And all Mark wants in return is one interesting Met card. No stuffing a box or envelope full. Just one. But it has to be interesting. Now, to a Braves fan, I don't think any Mets card is interesting... but I'll find something for him.

at long last...

I was reading a post by Ed at Roll out the barrel in which he stated a desire for Dave Bush cards. I don't question such things. I understand. I had a couple of extra Brewer Wal Mart Black cards, including Mr Bush, and proposed a trade. I ended up with Jo-Jo and Tim, which you see here.

Ed also include this Heritage James Parr rookie that I needed for my team set. Thanks!

But then it got interesting... I saw in Ed's "For Trade" list, that he had a card I've been wanting for a very long time. Since I first laid eyes on it, I knew it must be mine... but what did I have for trade? Think man, think! Wait! Remember this???
Way back in April, some ebay scammer sent me that.... now, will Ed want it? Why yes, yes he did. And in return, I got my card...

the other day I received a mailer from Marie, at A Cardboard Problem. She sent over a bunch of Braves. Some of which I immediately placed in their appropriate binders.
Yes. That's another way to say I can't remember every card she sent over. That's okay though. I'm sure she understands. She is a collector after all.

But I do remember three important things.
#1 Warren Spahn
#2 Adam LaRoche

#3 Chipper Jones

does anything else really matter?

Lesson learned. Spahn, LaRoche, and Chipper cards are always welcome here.

It's mailing again.....

I got an email last week from John of NJ Devils Cards and Old School Breaks. He had lost my address and wanted it again. Sure, no prob.

This week, a small present arrived at my door. What goodies will be inside? With John, you never know... it's usually something obscure, just the way I like it.

A really shiny Warren Spahn. My scanner killed this card... I have never seen a card so wonderfully shiny...

A Finest Chipper. Aren't all Chippers Finest? They should be. And a Pox on Beardy and Motherscratcher for not considering the current batting champion and future first ballot Hall of Famer a star.... A POX!

I have the Auto Refractor of this card.... it's much shinier...

A Kelly auto... on card... very sweet!

some hockey to round things out.... A future Flame who just joined us this season, lit it up, and will now leave for a helluva lot more $$$$ to some other team in the fall...

and a jersey card of former Flame Chuck Kobasew... he's with Boston now. And we don't like Boston, now do we?

Mail Day!!!

Yesterday I received a small, padded envelope in the mail. The return address was in Georgia. Yes! My Braves buddy dayf has sent me another goodie bag.
Earlier, I had sent him some random stuff, including some '08 A&G that he needed. He responded by sending 87 '08 A&G cards... 83 of which I needed, including my man Adam LaRoche!
Some more Adam cards....

and of course some Chippers.... for no package sent either way between us is complete without Chipper.

The one on the bottom left is a new one to me.... it has a hole in it. Probably some weird Pinnacle gimmick I would guess....

Plus one other goody that I will save for another post....
