Madden '08 FrameRate

It was revealed on 1up.com (click link for story) among other places yesterday that the Xbox 360 version of Madden '08 and other EA titles this year would run at 60 frames per second, but on the PlayStation 3 they would run at only 30 frames per second. The result of such a difference will immensely effect the smoothness of the gameplan mostly noticeable whenever bodies are moving. For a system which supposedly has superior computational power under the hood this move is very strange and puts Sony further behind in the video game console wars. With both Madden '08 and NCAA '08 getting true next-gen overhauls this season, this will be the year where players begin to pick their console of choice for the next four to five years. With the Wii's moving faster than Krispy Kremes at Barkley's house already, this one up by Microsoft will continue to put Sony further into 3rd place.
