Ea has just debuted a new control scheme to go along with the orginal Wii control scheme for games for Madden and NBA Live.
The old-fashioned (aka Paris Hilton's Virginity) control scheme
The new control scheme will make it easier for novices to participate by simplifying the control scheme down to just using the remote by itself. I suppose that's a positive step for family game plan which is what they are aiming for. There is no point in trying to make the control scheme any more advanced. Madden for the Wii is so broken gameplay-wise that it will never be adopted as the standard competitive Madden game, so there is no purpose in even trying to go that route.
